Lack of after sales support for Microsoft Lumia and absolute ******* Customer Care Service

My Lumia 640 (still in warranty) developed an issue with the battery (the battery has started to swell). I am aware that the battery on the device covers a limited 6 month warranty and that my phone is just over one year old. After contacting my cellular provider, I was advised to contact Microsoft South Africa directly to find out where I may get a new battery. I have several issue with Microsoft South Africa's after sales service:

1. After following all of the telephonic prompts on their customer service line (***) I was referred to a web page which lead me to B2X (a third party company which provides customer care for Microsoft products).

2. Although the B2X technician was helpful he did not know where I could source a new battery for my device. he advise me to call Microsoft back in order to find out.

3. I phoned Microsoft Customer Care back and went through switchboard in order to find out where I could purchase a new battery. The switchboard operator put me back on the prompts which lead me back to point number 1.

4. ANY Microsoft Lumia peripherals are hard to source ANYWHERE in South Africa except from the Microsoft Store.

Overall, Microsoft South Africa you are seriously compromising the growth of an otherwise fantastic mobile device. You and you alone are soley responsible for its eventual demise in South Africa
