Elite Series 2 Stick drift

I've always looked after my peripherals, I have last-gen controllers I've sold to family members that still work without any issue.

However, The Elite series 2 controller has known Stick drift and unresponsive or sticky button issues. Just google stick drift for elite controllers and you might feel that these guys should extend their warranty even further. I've already received a replacement, the replacement has stick drift. Now I have to pay to fix it. You would think that Microsoft would care about this issue as the controllers are very expensive.

I can honestly say that buying an elite controller does not make sense at this stage.
