Microsoft Billed me 4x, for more than one month, even though I only have 1 license that I was using (They continue to bill my account even though I opted to cancel the subscription)
If I could give no star, I would. My recent experience with Microsoft Office has been frustrating and horrible to say the least. I took out a license for Microsoft Project and I was having trouble with activating the license for weeks and every time I would get the message that the license could not be created, I would be prompted to try the process again. Eventually after weeks of attempting, I got a license activated. On the day of billing, to my surprise, I was billed four times. I contacted Microsoft and after a lot of run around, I was told that I have 4 licenses. I told them that this is not possible because I am only using one and when I tried to activate a license for the past few weeks, I was told that I was unsuccessful. They continued to bill me 4 times and when I called to ask for assistance, 3 different agents told me that they can not assist because I must log into each of those accounts and cancel. How? When I am not aware of them. Eventually I had to dig in my browser history and try figure out what I had typed in the different attempts I was made to make. I was able to access 3/4 supposed accounts and I gave an instruction to cancel the licenses. I even went as far as cancelling the license that I was actually using because I was tired of losing money every month. I even wrote emails to Microsoft to confirm the cancellation. They sent emails back acknowledging the cancellations. I was really irritated that all I got regarding getting my money reimbursed was that they would look into it and see if I qualify to get reimbursed. Why must I qualify to get reimbursed for licenses they know that I have not used. To my surprise, after the cancellation, Microsoft continued to debit my account. To date, I have lost almost R5000 due to this and with no feedback from Microsoft regarding getting reimbursed, instead they continued to debit my account. I was advised by my bank to block my card but they still managed to debit my account. I paid for a new card (another expense) but this has not helped as last month Microsoft debited my account again. I now sit with a blocked card because it seems like it makes no difference if I try to protect myself from this financial abuse. I am really disappointed in Microsoft and the way that they have handled my situation and I am extremely frustrated with the financial set back that this has caused me, especially in this economy!
