Pensioner Deceived

<p>Mr Mick van Zyl ,a well known owner of Micmar Construction received a deposit of R14000 on 20 November 2015 from my 90 year old mother to replace the roof of verandah at her 1 bedroom unit in retirement village in Lynnwood ,Pretoria. He is very well known to us and has done excellent work in the past ,so there was no reason to doubt his integrity.</p> <p>We visited him twice since January 2016 at his rental property in Snowdrop Ave Newlands when he always promised to commence the work the following Monday. We also delivered a written notice that all moneys must be refunded immediately .</p> <p>He suddenly left that premises as well and offered many excuses since then if you manage to get in touch with him. Recently he answers no telephone calls or sms or e-mails.</p> <p>It is believed that he now lives somewhere in Fourways/Midrand.</p> <p>He has never even commenced the construction for which he received R 14000 </p> <p>I wish to warn all future customers to be aware and I think it is a disgrace to take R14000 from a 90 year old pensioner and deprive her of her income and then disappear!!!!</p> <p>Tillie Swart Principal of Pretoria Properties</p>
