Michelin not honoring warranty

I have send multiple messages via e-mail and their website to Michelin's customer support, but have heard nothing back from them.

In July last year I bough a set of 4 Energy XM2 tyres. Just 2 days later I hit a pothole/bump/something in the road, causing a flat tyre. I immediately returned the tyre to my dealer who contacted the local rep for an inspection.

The rep only got around to make the inspection February this year, more than six months later.

The rep commented that the \tyre came into contact with a foreign object"which caused the flat. Therefor not a manufacturing defect and thus not elligible for a replacement.

The warranty of the XM2 specifically states that Michelin will replace the tyre in case of damage caused by \""pothole shock or road hazard impact\"".

I am very dissatisfied with the poor service I have received. Not only did I have to wait more than six months for a Michelin rep to respond"

Hello doomnie,

Thank you for sending us your details and the report provided.

Michelin has a procedure in place with regards to inspection requests which entails that a sales representative attend to technical inspection requests within 2 to 4 weeks after a request are logged by a dealer through our customer service or claims department. In this case we do not have an inspection request on record from the dealer prior to 26 February 2015 when the report was submitted.
We will follow up with the representative and dealer on this matter to ensure that claims are logged through the right channels in future.

The Energy XM2 Tyre is covered only against Pothole related damage (signs include impact damage i.e. \pinch\" or bubble on sidewall).Damages linked to a puncture on the crown are not covered
