Money money money…no resolve

The auto electricians were sent out to me, I explained my issue in a simple clear manner, I described what I believed to be the issue and they chose to ignore what I said by going ahead, doing a diagnostic test and telling me my FRM was faulty and needed further testing at an extra cost of R1600. I paid for the test, upfront, as this is how the conduct business, however, the team did not pitch up to remove the faulty module from my vehicle at the agreed time. I therefore took my vehicle to another mechanic who specialises in recoding these modules and he told me that the issue was not the module but rather a fuse issue. He didn’t charge me snything and I went on my way. As you see above, when I first communicated with the team, I told them I believe the issue was fuse related. None of this was checked. I asked them to replace a light bulb in my rear left twilight, this too was ignored. I was just charged a further R1600 to test a module that was never the problem. This charge is also only for the test and not for the actual “repair or recode” which would have been a further charge or cost. So, all in all, these guys charged my just under 1k for the first test in which nothing was resolved, when all they had to do was check fuses as originally advised by me. This team is apparently BMW experienced! Be very carefully with these guys. It’s a money making operation through and through, I found zero customer service when I came to explain this all to them.
