Michanic - worst vehicle service experience ever.
The service from this company was shockingly bad. 1- The appointment booked for 0900, yet the ‘mechanic” arrived only at 10:55, giving different excuses ( read lies) the whole time. Then; 2- He did not know of the issues with the vehicle as per indicated on the website; 3- He did diagnostics on the vehicle, but could not clear the fault light. 4- The air vent pipe on the vehicle was damaged as he removed the oil filter. 5- He brought the wrong oil filter for the vehicle. 6- The vehicle now cannot get into any gears, Following the “mechanics” re- programming, and according to Mercedes, this would cost in excess of R40 000-00 to fix. 7- The vehicle is now un-drivable ( it was drivable before he touched it) and must be put on a low bed to Mercedes.
We have investigated your after service enquiry and we did report that there was an engine light prior the service and even after the service. This was found because we do pre checks and post checks on cars to make sure 1. The condition before we work on it and record it and 2. The condition after we have worked on it.
We understand that it can be frustrating when your car does not move and we have pledged to keep all our customers moving, therefore it worries is much too.
99.9% of the time, an oil change, not only by simplicity but also by proximity to the gearbox does not or never will affect your gearbox.
We always happy to assist and we promise you a handsome discount if you would let us help you as that is what we do best.
Looking foward to hearing from you soon.
P.S we will also let Henry our service director contact you tomorrow and hopefully it can be resolved with everyone happy 😊
