Michael Thornton Renov8tor - very disappointing

Michael came to quote for the job, he seemed very knowledgeable. He had good references, he did work for Rawson's. Always a good sign when a real estate company is a customer, they generally have very high standards. The work was basic, fix / replace a lock on a security door, paint some walls and doors, sand a floor and stairs, fix some loose tiles and put new vinyl tiles in a bathroom.

The painting was fine, but already the vinyl tiles in the bathroom are lifting, the lock doesn't work and the sanding can only be called a "hot mess". It looks worse now than before.

To top it off, Micheal said he would call the tenants to make an appointment to come and fix up what needs redoing, but to date six days later, he hasn't called the tenants or myself, nor responded to emails.

The next steps is to put in a claim at the small claims court in Randburg.
