VERY BAD SERVICE

<p>Two years ago we asked Michael Springfield from the above mentioned company to help us redecorate our family room.</p> <p>This involved new curtains and the upholstery of our couches. We chose the fabric which we liked.</p> <p> </p> <p>The couches due to bad workmanship had to go back 3 times to be rectified. In the end we took the couches to another upholsterer who fixed the fault as best as he could.</p> <p>Michael never bothered to check, before delivery, whether everything was alright</p> <p> </p> <p>We chose the fabric for the curtains and made sure they were washable. Michael and I checked and there was a label marked “WASHABLE” The fabric was from HERTEX.</p> <p>The curtains cost at that time R30000.00 (Thirty Thousand Rand)</p> <p> </p> <p>Two and a half years later, being a family room and with dogs the curtains got dirty.</p> <p>My domestic, gardener and myself washed the curtains in cold water and lay them relatively flat to dry.</p> <p>When I hung them up they had SHRUNK 10cm in length.</p> <p> </p> <p>I phoned Michael who brought Kathy (who knows about fabrics, I was told) to examine the curtains. Michael did admit that the label did say the fabric was “washable”</p> <p> </p> <p>Fortunately there was enough fabric on the top of the curtains so Kathy took them to have them lengthened. It is now 5 weeks and I am still waiting. </p> <p> </p> <p>Since I got hold of Michael Springfield I have had 2 emails from him. </p> <p> </p> <p>1. A letter from HERTEX (letter from Hertex attached) explaining that fabrics will fade due to weather conditions and a whole lot of other explanations and costs about the return of fabrics. All covering themselves. Nothing about the term “WASHABLE”</p> <p>2. And another referring to the first email with all different washing instructions from different fabric houses. </p> <p> </p> <p>SEEING MICHAEL IS IN THE INTERIOR DESIGN BUSINESS SURELY WHEN I ASKED HIM FOR A WASHABLE FABRIC HE SHOULD HAVE EXPLAINED ALL OF THIS TO ME. </p> <p> </p> <p>He hides away as soon as there is a problem.</p> <p> </p> <p>I know it is a long time since I bought the curtains but I feel the public must know about the type of work and support MICHAEL SPRINGFIELD gives.</p> <p> </p> <p>He has also done a job simultaneous for a member of the family and will not accept the faults that were caused by his workmen, but just wants his money.
