Disappointing quality

I bought a Michael Kors wallet in Singapore January 2020. I reside in South and used the wallet probably for about 3 months as it was lock down and I haven't been out in months. Recently I used it again and saw small cracks close to the zips. I went to the Micheal Kors shops in Johannesburg and they acknowledged that it was a quality issue but because I bought it overseas, I had to email the European head office. I sent a email with proof of purchase and pictures of the faulty item to which rep**** that there is nothing they can do about it. I'm disappointed in the brand as I paid so much for the wallet and they don't want to do anything with regards to resolving the problem. I'm not asking them for much, but they don't seem to want to acknowledge that they have bad quality products.
