Subject: Defective Jasmine Bamboo Beds – Request for Replacement or Refund
Dear Sir/Madam,
I, Jennelee Scott, purchased two Jasmine Bamboo beds from MiCasa Furniture approximately 13 days ago. Unfortunately, the springs are already protruding from the mattresses, making the beds defective and unsuitable for normal use.
I reported the issue and was informed that there is no guarantee. However, under the South African Consumer Protection Act, consumers are entitled to receive goods that are of good quality, durable, and free from defects. A bed should not develop such defects after only 13 days of normal use.
I therefore request that MiCasa Furniture resolve this matter by providing either:
1. A full refund; or 2. Replacement beds of acceptable quality.
I have photographs of the defects and proof of purchase available. The defects have occurred after only 13 days of normal use, which is unacceptable for a new bed.
Please provide a written response within 7 days of receipt of this letter. Should this matter not be resolved, I will escalate the matter to the relevant consumer protection authorities and pursue all remedies available under the Consumer Protection Act. They still didn't get back to me. Portshepstone branch.
