Our incident with Micah Kitchens was a very unpleasant experience. So be warned and do your due diligence.

Order place in July 2016. We required installation end November 2016 giving Micah Kitchens ample time to makeup the kitchen and set our specific installation date.

Installation started end of the first week in December 2016 and was poorly finished 01st March 2017.

The first installation was done so badly they had to re-install 99% of the kitchen. They only replaced some of the shoddy cupboards and then preceded to re-glue, patch and re-engineer and fix and re-plug holes and fix, fix, fix.

I now have a poorly put together kitchen with bits and pieces and mismatched parts.

I would call this a second hand kitchen!

Due to the fact that Micah had to re-install and re-engineer our cupboards we had to get plumbers and electricians and gas companies to disconnect and reconnect all these points again.

Micah will not reimburse us for this cost of reconnection of gas, electrics and plumbing?

Was it our fault all these reconnections had to be re- done? Did we install a shocking kitchen? Micah assumed because we had contractors on site they would do it for Free… who does anything for free?

We therefore needed to pay our contractor for the extra work done due to Micah Kitchens REDOING all their shoddy work. So we decided to hold back payment until we came to an amicable arrangement.

In the meantime Rinus de Wal and Bertus Erasmus came into my home under the auspices of assessing what still needed to be completed.

I left my home and they proceeded to remove 90% of my cupboard and draw fronts in front of my 2 staff members (informing my staff they would return later with “new” ones! Which was a common occurrence over the last couple of months so my staff thought nothing of it) and left.

Basically bullying us into payment before fronts were returned. Still no compensation to date for the reconnection of gas, water and electrics.

I note in previous complaints about this company Micah kitchens always blames the customer. How I see it if 5 people have an issue with 1 company who do you think is the common problem? Customers or Micah Kitchen?

For my future bedroom cupboards, bar and built in cupboards I will rather choose an “Easy Life” or definitely make a “Wietzer” decision or possibly

“Sembel –It” myself.

Micah Kitchens has been in existence for 30 years and do thousands of installations per year. Luckily we also have thousands of clients that have sent us the most amazing references over many years regarding being extremely satisfied with our service and quality. Management at Micah Kitchens are extremely committed to customer service and our clients do not need to go elsewhere to get a problem resolved. It is generally only certain people hiding behind a screen thinking they can say absolutely anything and attempt to tarnish companies with solid reputations, that resort to this type of communication. It is a pity that 5 out of many thousands of clients over a period of 30 years felt the need to go to a social media platform such as this and unfortunately it is always about a non-payment issue. The facts in this case are as follows: The built-in cupboards were ordered in July and installed flawlessly in August last year, the kitchen was only ordered mid November due to many delays on the client's side getting the building work of this new home completed to a point that the kitchen could even be installed, not delays from our side whatsoever. The contractors working on this project for this client (builders, electricians, plumbers etc) chopped and changed continuously due to massive problems on this site. We admit that there were some problems with the kitchen, as happens in any industry. Micah Kitchens however remained 100% committed to rectify absolutely every issue to the point that the client signed off the job as being completely satisfied in the end. This kitchen in fact looks absolutely stunning. When final payment was requested, this client all of a sudden presented us for invoices that his other contractors presented to him for rewiring of DB Boards, replacing of geyser elements etc etc which in no way at all pertains to the cupboards that were installed. The client as this stage told us that we were all to "negotiate" amongst each other regarding these payments, which is ridiculous. It became clear that this client had over extended themselves and apparently now have not paid many of the other contractors involved the last payments due either. Our contract with this client has been completed 100% and the client was completely satisfied with the end product. Therefore final payment was due and invoices from his other contractors has absolutely nothing to do with our work.
Best regards,

Best regards,
Once again Micah always blaming the client. Micah's belief they are never at fault.
And I am not completely satisfied with the end product as I have a second hand fixed kitchen.
We have not extened ourselves infact we have just this morning placed orders with "Easy LIfe KItchens" to do our upstairs cupboards and bathroom vanities as well as "Mediterranean Bars" to install our brand new stunning bar.
Just a few questions? Did you have to re-install my kitchen more than once.... YES?
Did we have to disconnect and reconnect the plumbing and electrics and gas ... YES?
Yes to all!
Micah Kitchens fault... YES again. Not our contractors. They infact were only helpful.
Who must pay for this?
Our Estate has Surveillance cameras which can prove the in and out of Micah Kitchens into the estate. Units were not delivered in August.
We have only dealt with one contractor for our renovation also on record at our Estate Office. We did not "chop and change" contractors. In fact awesome contractors who finished all their work flawlessly and on time , Long before my kitchen was badly completed in March this year. And the contractors have been paid in full.
You have not made any comment on the fact that Bertus and Rinus came into my home and removed my cupboard fronts.... is this even legal?
We never disputed payment ever. Happy to pay for our disgusting kitchen however the very small amount you dispute for all the reconnections and disconnections is quite sad. 30 year old company upset about a small amount of money to pay for their errors.
Petty really petty.
