We bought my daughter a mica beauty hair straightner 3 years ago in menlyn shopping centre and was told probably 12 times that is has a lifetime warranty no hassles cost free swop out if anything goes wrong with it as factory faults obviously not customer neglect and we were convinced. 3 Years later the one end stopped working (I read on forums this happens often) so we contacted mica beauty and they said there was a handling fee of R570, I queried it and they said they had too many comebacks that was a financial drain on them and they started a charge last year of a handling fee to obviously cover the costs they possibly pay for repairs. This handling fee was implemented years AFTER we purchased it and should NOT have an affect on anyone prior to the handing fee introduction date.<br>
