Poor service

I submitted a pension claim on the 3rd August 2020...only received confirmation on the 14th August acknowledging receipt of my documents. I followed up today which a almost a month later only to find out that my claim hasn't been processed as yet and will only take place now that I have followed up. So I must wait a further 8 weeks... madness! If there is a backlog surely there should be an emergency tingency plan put in place since there are so many unemployed people who require this money urgently!
