Let us down at a charity event

We met with Gareth and he agreed to sell fast food at our fundraising event. He said he would be there at 16h45 so he would be ready to start selling at 18h00. Arrived late, didn't bring gas connector for his grill, went back, only to bring the wrong connector. His two chefs were completely out of their depth and we're just left to get on with it. Eventually some of our board members stepped in to help them cook! The result of this lack of planning was 160 hungry people getting food 3 and half hours late. It was substandard and cold and we had people walking out of our event. Even though we did everything in our power to ensure the event went smoothly we did not anticipate a so called professional business who apparently do these sort of events all the time, letting us down so badly. Only time will tell if we have lost much needed support due to this total unprofessionalism.
