Shoddy Workmanship

This company installed built in cupboards at my mother's house and within a month or two the hinges were coming off. By the time the came to fix the broken hinges one door had completely came off its hinges and it fell on to the sleigh bed and broke. When I raised this I was told that the broken hinges was "caused by weight on doors i.e. like washing or something." I wonder how someone can hang washing on wardrobe doors that are as high as the roof
