Worst service ever...i am so disappointed.
Can a supervisor or manager from claims department make themselves contactable. we need help with issues and all we can do is speak to a call centre agent only, not even get the opportunity to speak to the person dealing with the claim. we cannot wait for 12 months for a claim to be paid out if all relevant information and supporting documents has been provided. If you can also have the decency to communicate the status of the claim I believe it will make the experience a little less daunting. Claims Department manager/Supervisor, please make yourself available to speak to your clients. your agents will not even take their work serious because they know we have no one to complain to.

21 Aug 2019, 13:26Dear complainant. Thank you for sharing your concerns. I can ensure you that we always strive to meet the needs of our clients to the best of our ability. The policy you complained about is a retirement annuity fund policy. The death of our member occurred during January 2019 and our claims team is actively busy with the assessment. My understanding is that you are a relative to the member and not a dependent. I suggest you speak to the spouse of the member. Payment of benefits is governed by the Income Tax and Pension fund Acts. Please read section 37C of the Act to fami****ise yourself with the Act and the process followed to determine dependents on a retirement annuity plan. This process may take longer than when assessing a funeral claim. The Act allows the administrator a period of, but not limited to, 12 months to complete their investigation. Should we have all the relevant information to make an informed decision we will most definitely do so. I hope my explanation provides you with clarity on the process and any delays you feel you have experienced. Warm regards, The Principal Officer
