We acknowledge receipt of your complaint on HelloPeter.
We always strive to serve all our clients well and regret to read that you are dissatisfied with the distribution of proceeds of a claim.
Regrettably your post does not contain sufficient information for us to trace the policy number you are referring to and to thereby answer you pertaining to that specific product.
We can however indicate to you that where a policy allows for and has a nominated beneficiary on record, we pay to that Beneficiary directly.
However, if the policy does not allow for beneficiaries or does not have a beneficiary appointed we have to pay the proceeds of said policy to the deceased's estate account.
It is then the executor's responsibility to see to it that the stipulations of the deceased's wishes are executed and proceeds of the claim on the policy is then distributed to the heir stipulated in the last will and testament of the deceased.
We trust that the above addresses your concerns and hope to be of service to you again.
