Unsolicited Marketing

I have a Metropolitan family policy and received an sms advising me of a personal loan. A lady by the name of Mixo called me to advise me of their offering, I advised that I wasn't interested and requested that a note be added that I do not want to be contacted for any marketing purposes as I had never opted in for marketing communications. Mixo proceeded to tell me she was calling from a different office and I insisted that I never opted in for such. As I was explaining, she then proceeded to tell me that I don't have to be rude to her, which I wasn't and she dropped the phone on me.

Can Metropolitan STOP with unsolicited marketing communications and rude call centre agents!!!!

Dear Nompendulo

We acknowledge receipt of your complaint.

One of our Client Care Assessors will be contacting you shortly, in order to obtain more information to investigate the complaint.

Did you know that the Direct Marketing Association of South Africa has a platform though which you can add your details to the National Opt-out Database.

Reputable companies like Metropolitan check the mailing list information we purchase from other service providers against this platform, before we contact potential clients during marketing campaigns.

Their website address is: www.nationaloptout.co.za

Regards

Client Care Team
