Unpaid Funeral Cover
This is the worst assistance I have ever received. I am a single widowed mother of 2 sons. My husband passed away in 2019. No problems as it was a natural death. On the 16th of April 2023 my youngste son of 18 Years passed away in an motorbike accident. My husbands' policy that he had since 2007 clearly stated the benefits for an unnatural death! Now when I submit my claim Metropolitan says I dont qualify for the accident cover due to the fact that my husband is dead and a portion of my policy fell away!!!! But on numerous occasions and the last time on 25 April Metropolitan confirmed that I am still a widow and never remarried and that I indeed qualify for the accidental cover. When I did not received the money and made some quries the state again I dont get it. This is absurbed how can a funeral policy decreas in value when one person passed away nowhere was this ecplained to me in writing and told what is happening no correspndence whatsoever and information. This is the worst excuses asif they cannot afford R10 000 after my premuims from 2007!!!!! I need some assistance as a widow after losing my son and still trying to cope with all the trauma, i have to beg for money!!!!
