Unauthorized debit order/ ****mers

I went to Metropolitan branch in Queenstown to do a claim for my late brother. While we were busy with it the lady who was assisting wanted to sell a funeral policy for me. She told me the benefits I was interested. I gave her my details and filled the necessary forms and what was left for me was to mandate a debit check. Of which I never did reason being I got a cheaper quote from another service provider and it was covering more people at half of the amount I was going to pay at Metropolitan. In Jan I got an sms text telling me I'm only left with 2 days to mandate the debit check so I ignored it as I was no longer interested in the policy cover. To my surprise the debit order went through on my acc on the 27th of Jan. When I went to my app I couldn't reverse it. So I stopped the debit order on my app on that it doesn't go off but still went through Feb and March. When I went to my bank they told they can't help me I need to call Metropolitan to reverse my payments since I didn't mandate the debit check. Even on my debit check list I couldn't see Metropolitan. So I called Metropolitan and I was told if really I didn't mandate the debit check I need to submit an affidavit stating that and it's gonna go to the forensic and she doesn't know when I will get my money that's if I will. My makes me angry in all of this us why should I struggle when I need to get my money back yet when they were busy taking money on my account they didn't involve forensic. All I see is they doing anything in they power for me not to get y money back
