*****s your money and pretends policy has lapsed

Hours after my father passed away, we were treated so badly and chased out of the Mokopane branch by a rude *********** advisor who refused to wear a mask during covid with no ventilation in their offices and a confined space. When I asked for his name he screamed "my name is my name" and refused to give me his name. I asked to be assisted by someone else. We were then told the funeral policy lapsed due to nonpayment. I requested proof that we were communicated with in this regard as they claimed messages were sent to say they have not received the money, which they still cannot provide. I gave them proof of payment and was told to wait 3 - 5 days for them to sort it out. Still no response. They take your money and when there is a claim, pretend the policy has lapsed to prevent them from paying out. They give you the run around and give no feedback from their side so you will just leave it. They also find it completely in order to be treated so badly by their employees.

Aletta Clarence got back to me to inform me that they will investigate the matter to see where premiums were skipped or shortfalls took place.
In December our broker made contact with Metropolitan and everything was in order, however, without communication from there side, there is a problem and we are now at their mercy and hope they will take the time to sort this issue out. But time is certainly not of the essence for them, we are heading for 3 weeks now and they have yet to make any progress.
