Show no respect to there clients who help paying there salaries every month!
My father passed away on the 18/07/2021, he always made sure that his monthly payments are paid in full. But now that Metropolitan need to payout to the family they make it impossible. It is like it is a joke to them when one of your family members passes away. We dealing with Nancy of the Kempton Park office. What a bad service, she is never available and when you contact the branch it sounds like they are having a big party. And what is more irritating when you say to the receptionist that Nancy is not available, she needs to transfer your call to someone who can assist she keeps on transferring your call to Nancy's extension. What a joke!
We as his family received an email from Metropolitan head office requesting the following information from us. Bank statements – Really, what a joke, Marriage certificate (My dad is divorce for more than 30 years), Identity document of the Claimant certified by the commissioner of Oaths Signed 3times by you, Identity document of member certified by the commissioner of Oaths. Why must we as a family do the above. I have never received more disgusting service since this. They received the death certificate etc.
My late father had so much trust in this company, but Metropolitan staff showed us the opposite. You need to be ashamed of yourselves handling the family with such disgrace.
I wonder if this complaint will be taken seriously!
We acknowledge receipt of your complaint on HelloPeter.
We regret to learn of the loss you and your family have suffered. Our sincere condolences go out to you and your family.
Unfortunately your post does not provide sufficient information in order for us to trace the policy under which you submitted the claim.
If your father had a funeral policy and has been divorced, as you indicate, it could be that there was no beneficiary listed on his funeral policy. We then need to determine to whom the claim is payable, and that may be why these documents were requested.
This being said, we sincerely apologize for any poor service experienced thus far. One of our Client Care Assessors will be in contact shortly to obtain the necessary information so that we can investigate and provide you with feedback and assistance.
