*********** service
So when I sign up for a funeral cover or while you busy debiting my account every month, you didn't see the need to ask me for unabridged birth certificate or these other stupid documents you want me to obtain now. I have submitted all the documents that prove death has taken place but now u want me to obtain more documents. I don't have time to be queueing at police stations as I'm busy with burial arrangements

19 Nov 2024, 18:26This is counter productive on your part because you need to ask for these documents upfront in order to make the claim process seamless. Now a person must chase after ward councilors for testimonies

Thank you for your additional comments. We understand and appreciate your view as it certainly bears merit.
However, it is equally important, if not sometimes more so, to have the application accepted as quickly as possible, so that cover can commence as at the earliest possible date and that waiting periods on cover can pass sooner.
This is why we are not rigid in which documentation is acceptable to prove a relationship, but offer various alternatives, for when one specific document is unavailable.
