Ridiculous service from Metropolitan life insurance
I am very disappointed with Metropolitan I've been making a claim of mi late moms retirement ND for the past 3 years I have not received any payments all they say I must send documents over and over. I have sent all documents needed for the sixth times even their employees at Dundee branch are not helpful ND they don't send any messages to pass to clients ND they rude. I would never recommend anyone to take a retirement plan with Metropolitan. When I call them they promise to call but they don't. Even today I called but all they say is Winfred sent an email but the same email is asking for the documents yet again when they have to pay it a hustle. I would never want my child to suffer like this when I die just for her to get the money I left like mi siblings ND I are suffering!!

Please note that a Retirement Annuity falls under two pieces of legislation:
- The Pension Funds Act
- The Income Tax Act
As such, we need to ensure that the proceeds of the Retirement Annuity is distributed to the deceased's legal and financial dependents.
When we assess the claim, we take into consideration all the financial and legal dependents and their level of dependency.
