Refusing to pay a claim. Taking a client from pillar to post and unfriendly customer service (Poor Service)

Metropolitan has the most daunting processes when one submits a claim. The managers and claims assessors do not empathize with the beneficiaries of the deceased. They treated my mother's death as something that is of least importance because their disjointed claims processes were more significant than our time of need. The service was appalling to say the least and dealing with Metropolitan was an utter disgrace. With this experience I adamant that I will never take a policy with them and I plea to anyone to consider looking at other insurers such as Liberty, Old Mutual and Hollard instead of this power abusive company (Metropolitan). I suggest clients to expose their bad service on all social media platforms, on radio 702 and even lodge a complaint with the Ombudsman (*** or ***), ***.

Dear Mduduzi,
I am sorry to hear about your claims and service experiences.  I wish to extend our heartfelt condolences with the loss of your mother.
I can ensure you that Metropolitan takes client service seriously.   We have a robust paperless claim process for all valid claims and aim to pay claims within the shortest possible time on receiving all the requirements.  A Client Care assessor will be in contact for more information  as you have not provided policy specific  details.
