You think my mother will pay you guys R500 every month for 3 years just to get R700?You are playing with people's hard earned money and lives, my mother got sick due to this **** of your former financial advisor who committed ***** and you guys are refusing to take responsibility knowing very well what he used to do with people's information. My mother worked hard for this money and you will either pay her all her premiums or everyone deserves to know how your former financial advisor committed ***** with people's information and the company is refusing to refund premiums and instead cancel the policy.

You guys have been dragging this thing since the 20th of November saying you will investigate and we must be patient. Even today you conclude that my mother must not be refunded her premiums. Your financial advisor agreed to open a retirement annuity knowing very well the system does not allow 55 years clients. Even if my mother was opening a funeral cover, who would open a funeral cover at 55 without beneficiaries?

Everything was just wrong from start but your advisor took advantage of an elderly woman who does not understand anything about products. Does the FSCA know that your financial advisors open products without client's concern or education?

 Dear Elias

Thank you for your additional comments.

We have a zero-tolerance approach to *****.

Unfortunately after a forensic investigation and a thorough review of the application file, we could not substantiate the *****/miss-selling allegation on this policy.

We have however responded to you in detail with our findings and provided you with the supporting documentation.

We are sorry that we cannot give you the reply you are hoping for.

Regards

Yes you have 0 tolerance to ***** , that's why you fired the financial advisor who had many similar cases that im complaining about now and responsible for this one also. But not willing to take responsibility because he is no longer your employee, but you chose to cancel the policy and take someone's money that they worked for very hard and keep it .

Dear Elias

Again, thank you for your additional comment.

Yes, the adviser is no longer in our employ, but that does not make this particular application **********.

We have thoroughly investigated on more than one occasion and inspected the application and it was not found to be **********.

Regrettably we cannot give you the response you wish for,

Regards

The advisor says now that your system is the one that made a mistake by opening a funeral cover instead of retirement annuity. We'll see how his testimony stand in court.
I'm not looking for any response that I wish according to you.
I refuse my mother to be ********** by metropolitan. You opened funeral cover without her concern and cancelled it without her concern after paying R500 every month from 2022 May to 2025 December.
Everything was done without her concern.
I refuse to let my mother be ********** her hard earned money.

Dear Elias

The statement that you are quoting from the former adviser is not true - we cannot change an agreement.

It is your and your mother's right to take this further.

We will respond to the regulator once we receive the complaint from them.
