Negligence.

My father passed away on the 27th of August and when my mother went to do a funeral policy claim at Metropolitan she was then told to bring in the kids as they are beneficiaries on some investment my father did. We then went and were asked to submit bank statements and ID's, even though we asked what the investement was about, the consultant could not say and only said Head office would contact us. 1 week later after the buriel, everyone went to their homes in different provinces, 3wks later I then contacted head office and was informed that the branch didn't actually do any claim, the documents were just attached? and nothing was actioned therefore head office wouldn't have picked up there was a claim on that policy. I was even told by the head office consultant that the branch went in and out of the policy on different dates without doing the right thing and he can't see what they were doing as they never actioned it once. It's over a month and yet still waiting. Even though the consultant at head office said he would speed things up, he himself has kept quiet I have to send emails and ask about progress daily. This is such a dissapointment that we will never forget and as for the initial Branch's consultant, I will make sure she pays for this.
