My dearest Friend Thomas

I see that my bank account is still missing my money that was taken without my consent. Please forward me your superiors e-mail address who can refund me my money instantly . I have been far too patient with this matter. I am not going to allow you to abuse me because I am your client.

The instructions on my mails were clear, WHY WAS MONEY TAKEN FROM MY ACCOMUT ON THE 1ST? WHY AM I RUNNING AFTER YOU GUYS FOR MY MONEY THAT WAS TAKEN AGAINST MY WILL???

I am now being prejudiced for metropolitans ******* employees who cannot read basic English.

Good AFTERNOON Thomas

Once again I have been bombarded by more of your lies, its passed 12 and as per e-mail below, and you my good friend were supposed to call me THIS MORNNG Ironically I am not surprised, I have already made peace with myself and in turn gathered that the ”modus operandi” of Metropolitan life is “bad service, under deliverance and utter ignorance”

Anyway, all I want to know is what time am I getting my refund?? I told Thando yesterday that I am going on a trip this weekend and need new underwear so I am going to be polite once again and ask..

May I kindly have the money that belongs to me to be transferred back into my account IMMEDIATELY. I give you 24hrs. Then I will escalate this shocking service to your superior.

Thanks.

Good Day Katleho, I acknowledge receipt of you communication and wish to apologise for the manner in which your enquiry was handled by one of my consultants. I have escalated the enquiry for urgent attention and will contact you tomorrow morning. I trust you find the above in order and my apologies once more. Regards

Thomas Phoffa From: Katleho Liwane Sent: 04 February 2019 01:39 PM To: Thomas Phoffa Cc: Thando Ntombela Subject: Policy number *********** Importance: High Good day Thomas I am absolutely shocked at what metropolitan is doing on my policy Like I have never ever in my life struggled like I have with regards to a policy, it’s obvious that my bank account is where metropolitan has decided to play its games Please find attached email asking nicely to stop debiting “willy nilly’ into my account but showing me that you have absolutely no regard for your clients you decided to do the exact opposite. It is obvious that you guys do not know what you are doing with this new “activate via sms policy” and my bank account is obviously being used as your “lab-rat” otherwise I wouldn’t be calling EVERY SINGLE MONTH TO FIX ONE POLICY OUT OF THE 2 OTHERS THAT I HAVE I demand a written apology and a detailed explanation for all the stress and utter nonsense that you have been doing on this policy I can also see that you probably have too many clients that is why I’m not a valued client of yours, making error after error on ONE policy is your subtle way of saying “thank you mam, we don’t need your business” so I want to understand what you would like to do with this policy as you have failed to merely debit correctly. I’m scared to know what will happen (God forbid) when I ever have to claim. ABSOLUETLY SHOCKING Katleho Liwane

Dear Katleho

We acknowledge receipt of your complaint on HelloPeter and see you also logged a facebook complaint.

We  understand your frustration but please allow us to explain the 45-day waiting period on refunds of premiums deducted via bank debit order.

  • An accountholder has roughly 10 days after a debit is scheduled against their account to have the deduction reversed by their bank.  It is our understanding that thereafter, the bank won't allow a reversal request by the accountholder.

  • The banks in turn have an agreement with us - referred to as the Bankserv Rule - whereby a bank has up to 45 days (6 weeks) after a debit is presented to the client's bank account, to inform us that the debit was not successful.

Therefore, unless the client supplies us with a copy of their bank statement showing the successful debit plus 10 days' there after's transactions, proving the debit was not reversed, we are not able to refund the premium, due to the risk that the bank may come back to us and indicate the debit was unpaid/reversed.

This is not to inconvenience you in any way, but a necessity to ensure we did in fact receive the money from your bank, before refunding it to you.

We trust that the above will enhance your understanding of our processes and the constraints we have to meet your expectations.

We are however happy to confirm that your refund has been processed.

Regards
