Metropolitan Life rips people off!

This company Rips people off

I was approached by one of their financial advisors in first year studying as a nurse. They stand in the corridors of our school with KFC lunch packs to lur in newly appointed first year students that know nothing abt policies and are excited for the news that thyll be recieving stipent throughout their course. This consultant said i should choose a type of policy i want, so i told him i dnt want covers i just want to save money every year and be able to withdraw from it every now and then when i need money. He then told me there is a policy that allows me to do this and explained that it has high interest so id get more money than i saved. I signed electronic documents and was given a lunch pack in return. I agreed to pay R350 every month for savings. That very same year i went to one of their branches in December to get some money for a planned vacation and I was told i could get R1500 so i took it. The gentleman who helped me told me that i was messing up my maturtion money but thy can still recover it by takng a little more money from my payslip to make sure its back to normal. I asked him what he meant "maturation" and he said the policy only allows me to take money few times from it but it affects my total savings, not understanding well what he meant i stood up and left and agreed to save more money. The next year December I went back to the branch to get my savings again because my grandmother hd passed away and i needed to contribute towards the funeral. I found a lady called Prudance, they were now deducting R438 from my account. I told her i needed my savings and gave her my reason. She then told me i dnt qualify to get my own money she can loan me my money and i have to pay it back monthly. She further explained that i had a 15 YEARS INVESTMENT PLAN which i cant touch until 2031 and i have already messed up the maturation of it.. I was soooo damn confused! I know nothing about a ****en 15 YEARS CONTRACT! i never even recieved a copy of the damn contract. Out of desperation i took the "loan" it was +-R4000.. Prudance saw my confusion, i explained to her what i thought i had all these years nd how that man who came to my school ripped me off for commission! She seemed supportive. She then told me she will process the loan for me then make me sign a cancellation form that allows me to pause this policy until im qualified coz it would be a waste cancelling it completely.. i signed the form and she told me to let her know once the money is in my account. Thats exactly what I did, she gave me her whatsapp numobers and email address.. i contacted her numerous times but never got an answer.. i called her to follow up and she asked for my ID number once and said she'd get back to me, till this day she hasnt. She ignores my texts and calls. I was now paying R200 from my account and R483 taken frm my payslip.. I then went to a branch in Randburg and I was told this policy cannot be cancelled. The lady who helped me gave me call center numbers and told me to explain my story. I called in and spoke to a lady who told me she had stopped all methods of payment (stop order and debit order) and that the policy will lapse on its own and ill lose all the 3years of savings i had.. i ddnt mind because honestly am sick of this company and its *********** people. Last month I decided to fetch my payslip at work, all to find that they are still taking R483 from my payslip every month.. I WANT MY MONEY BACK!! I called in again and spoke to a consultant called Bongani who took my email address and said he'd send a form that i must take to my HR to cancel the stop order because thy failed on their side.. he also promised id get a refund of my money from the month I called in to cancel. Its a month ago now.. NO EMAIL SENT TO ME, NO REFUND! IM SICK OF THESE PEOPLE! ITS ENOUGH! WHAT THE HELL DO YOU CALL THIS!... on the phone call with this damn bongani i confirmed my email TWICE!! he just ddnt send it coz thats what thy do.. they **** people over!
