Metropolitan life Heartless ******
Extremely Bad Service - Call centre agents are also the most useless can't help or give answers on anything.
My Aunt passed away due to accident, on Friday 28/07/2023 went to the Uitenhage branch and did my claim. Most SHOCKING to DATE I still have not received any form of contact or even PAYMENT.
I have been calling that useless call centre everytime answer is tomorrow.
Tell me why lie and say you pay within 24/48 hours when you know you give people run arounds.
I regret taking any products with ****** 🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬

We acknowledge receipt of your re-post on HelloPeter.
We are sorry to read of your continued disappointment.
Please note that where an insured person passes away from unnatural causes, we do have to do additional validations to assess the claim.
The onus to provide claim requirements does fall on the policy owner in the event of a claim. This being said, we do try to assist valued clients, like yourself, where we can. As such we try to do a many of the validations to assess a claim electronically.
Regrettably, where a claim occurs and the cause of death is unnatural, we do have to do additional validations and we may need additional documents, like a Post Mortem report or in some instances where this report is inconclusive/insufficient, we may need the Judicial Inquest Report as well to further assess the claim.
Unfortunately, when we attempt to assist the claimant to procure these requirements, we too are reliant on the availability of the Investigating Officer (I/O) and what information is available from the I/O at the time.
We are committed to assisting you as soon as possible will continue to communicate with the I/O in this regard, until our Escalation Specialist can revert back to you.
