Metropolitan life 24/48 hours funeral payout is a ****
We submitted a death claim already Thursday and it has to date of the funeral not been paid.We drove to their Roodepoort Branch it was closed. We e-mailed the claims documents I have even lost count. They have to date not paid out the death claim. No measures are put in place to deal with claims during the lockdown which is dissappointing for an insurance company.

29 Apr 2020, 17:46Whilst we understand and abide by the President's order of a lockdown, one will think that part of your business falls under essential services since death is an everyday occurrence. We did take down your contact details as displayed in your Westgate Branch but there has not been any response and or assistance until the complaint herein.
As and when you give your customers alternative contact details the least you can do is ensure that measures are put in place to address clients claims and or queries. I do not even want to think about what could have happened had it not been month end.
