Metropolitan - bad business acumen.

Appaling business acumen. I have an investment policy I took with Metropolitan a few years ago. I contacted them in 2016 to try and have the investment cancelled as my financial situation changed and i could no longer afford the monthly instalment. I was notified via email by an Anathi Qobo that my investment was restricted until 2018. I then contacted Metropolitan beginning of this year to yet again try and cancel this investment. I was notified via telephone by different consultants that the investment is now restricted until 2019. This is after going through at least three consultants who were not willing to listen to reason. Eventually an Omega Sityata came back to me via to again tell me that it is restricted until 2019 and thats it.

This is absolute madness. How come in 2016 I was told its restricted until 2018 and then come 2018 its suddenly restricted until 2019? How do i know that they will not do the same thing in 2019 and say its restricted until 2020? Is this how Metropolitan operates? Most importantly, why have they not addressed their consultants blunder instead of just telling me its restricted until 2019 and offering me a loan instead? How will i afford paying for a loan if i can no longer after a mere instalment? Is the intention to get me into more debt?
