Matropolitan is a ****
So Metropolitan has decided to play hide and seek with people's money. After being given a mandate to pay and settle the policy that was taken with them, yet they still refusing to pay the money to my mother who is the policy holder. It has been 4 months if not more where we having been going and back and forth by sending email after email and submitting the required documents that they have been requesting. It is very important that i state it categorically that who ever want and will be taken a funeral policy with Metropolitan that they not do business with this organization. I believe that they are very tactical and conniving when it comes to the elderly from the rural places and think that they can get away with ******** them. I will be publishing a thread on twitter as well as facebook to highlight what metropolitan has been doing to my mother.

Metropolitan is not in the business of trying to repudiate claims. We do however have a duty to all our clients to protect their interests by ensuring that each claim that is paid is a valid claim.
The beneficiary on the policy has also logged a complaint with the FAIS Ombud - one of the regulatory bodies governing the insurance industry.
Therefore please appreciate that we cannot comment on the claim at present - not until the FAIS Ombud have adjudicated the matter.
