Giving a 69yr old the runaround for funral claim

I've had my fair share of terrible experiences with Metropolitan when I had to claim for the death of my late Father, I don't even know why I still have an active policy with them.

Anyway, this is not about me. My grandmother (69yrs old) have had a policy with Metropolitan for as long as I can remember. Each time she wants to claim she gets told amazing stories. First it was "the person you want to claim for has died and was buried a long time ago", how the hell is that possible? Wouldn't she know if her mother had already died and was buried? Who claimed for that death? Stop messing with us Metropolitan.

Now just today; she went to the Metropolitan branch in tzaneen to claim for her late brother, and now she was told that the policy is no longer active (another BS story), in 2015 when she wanted to claim for her Mother and was told that it was claimed a long time ago; they gave her a printout of her policy details with active members, and her brother was on it, in black and white, now all of a sudden, 2yrs later when she wants to claim, because it is convinient for Metropolitan; her policy is inactive!

Stop giving my grandmother the run around and give her what is due to her. Who on earth would pay for a policy just for the heck of it? Was she donating to a cause she knows nothing about? Stop messing with us. She needs to bury her brother on Saturday 17th, now do the right thing and stop embarrassing yourselves.
