Funeral Policy Cancelled without my concern

I have my funeral policy with Metropolitan life for my Mom and my step Mom in Jan 2022 my financial advisor told me my policy has been cancelled I told him I do not want to fight now let's reinstate my policy then I will deal with Metropolitan Life after because the people who are covered under this policy are Senior Citizens so I do not want yo waste time,Unfortunately in April my step Mom who was covered under this policy passed away then I send a claim and it was rejected because they claimed the policy is still new and I could not claim I made a follow up to Metropolitan after the funeral the lady from Metropolitan ( Maggie)made contact with me in May and adviced that my case is still under investigation she phoned me again in mid June that they have escalated the case is waiting for the manager to decide until then they still cannot explain to me as to why my policy was cancelled because it is on stop order I believe my premiums are up to date if it wasn't owing they should have told me from the word go .Hope to hear from you soon with a possible solution because I need my money from Metropolitan Life .
