Death claim benefit

I have a policy with Momentum which I have covered my family members. One of the insured members died due to unnatural causes. I submitted all the claim documents and only received the insured amount of R20 000.00 and it was not paid out in double. When I did an enquiry on the matter; I was told that “my policy with Momentum does not have an accident benefit”. That sounded strange as you don’t plan for cause of death.

In view of the above; I request further assistance and clarity on the matter. I have gone through the policy and there’s no where that states that the policy I have taken out does not cover accidental benefits.
