Beneficiary crisis retirement annuity
I'm a sooo irritated with metropolitan and the manner they are handling my matter. Earlier in 2017 I got a letter from them saying my mother's retirement annuity has matured and is ready to be cashed, so I called metropolitan and enquired regarding the necessary documentation required because the policy holder is now deceased (passed on in2015) I then emailed the documents as per request, only to receive a response about 3 months later. Ok cool, I took that in and let it go, but when reading the response it was just alot of nonsense. The response required me to send in documents of the deceased's other children, spouse, adopted children, dependents, tax papers to settle tax matters, and other nonsense documents which I do not see the relevance of to the matter at hand. The reason for my post is that I do not understand why did they not tell me all this nonsense the 100times I called them and why are they ignoring the fact that I'm the beneficiary stated on the policy? What do they ask people to nominate beneficiaries I'd the going to go through sooo much nonsense? Isn't it that a beneficiary steps in when the policy holder is unable to handle matters them selves? Why does it even take them sooooo ****** long to respond to a claim that has all the required documentation? Even after I have responded to their email venting out my frustrations why did they not respond and explain what is going on exactly? They just choose to ignore me again! I do not see myself dealing with metropolitan anytime in the future and best believe my Facebook wall will be flooded with this frustration. What is soooo hard with being prompt? What is sooo hard with explaining to a client ? To think the money is soooo little but yet they just holding on to it? I want it because it is due to me, why are they holding on to it? Who said we want to them to pay SARS for my mother? I live 10 minutes away from SARS il ****** go there myself and pay them and that's if she even owes them I mean she's been retired since 2010 so I'm sure there's nothing there nx
