Bad Service

I took out a funeral policy for my uncle in 2013 with Metropolitan Life, instead of my uncle being listed under extended family he was listed as my father. I was not aware of this error and its implication until a Financial Advisor came to my workplace and explained how this could prevent me from claiming. I went to Metropolitan offices in King William’s Town to correct the error. They told they cannot change it. I spoke to Wendy in the King Williams Town offices and explained to her that I do not mind if I can pay the same amount for the original cover which was R30 000 at the time because the cover has now grown to R39 000. She told me that is no possible the cover will increase if I want the same cover. That is what puzzles me as I don’t believe the fault is with me and I am even willing to compromise but still refused to assist. I had told the Financial Advisor that this my uncle and I wanted a cover for him not it appears as if he did not do that. All I want is for Metropolitan to change this error without me being adversely affected by their error.

Upon getting to your offices I asked the receptionist to show me a certain Miss Wendy, she told me to go to the back. When I got to the back there were two ladies, one cleaning lady wearing a uniform the other wearing formal attire, I greeted the one wearing the formal outfit because she was approaching me. She ignored me, I asked if she heard me, she gave me a look I didn't understand. I asked where Wendy was fortunately Miss Wendy heard me and answered.
I asked for the woman's name ( the one in formal outfit) she told me her first name, I was shocked as to why was she now answering. I again asked for her surname she answered and she asked if I also wanted her identity number. That came across as rude and undermining she was being sarcastic. I had noticed in her answers some bad attitude but I thought I was imagining things but I realised I was not.

Can you please ask her as to why she would make a customer unhappy as I only needed assistant nothing more, nothing less, Ask her why was she rude as client of Metropolitan Life, Her name is MS NOLUTHANDO MHLEKWA : Client Service Office KING WILLIAMS TOWN 5600
