We acknowledge receipt of your complaint on HelloPeter.
We are sorry to learn of your disappointment with the requirements needed to assess the accident benefit on your spouse claim.
Please be advised when an unnatural death occurs, we need to be sure that the deceased did not take his/her own life or did something that caused his/her death.
We don't want to request unnecessary documentation.
One of or Client Care Assessors will investigate the matter and revert back to you as soon as possible on how this affects your claim.

- Therefore we see if there is sufficient information in the Declaration by police to make a claims decision.
- If not, we ask for the post mortem report to ascertain if there is any additional information there that may enable us to make a claims decision.
- We are aware that a toxicology report may take years to obtain. Therefore, we will only request this if there is still not sufficient information to make the claims decision or if the declaration by police and post mortem reports indicates that there is a need for a toxicology report.
- Sometimes the toxicology report is also inconclusive and then we need to request the full Judicial Inquest report done by the magistrate, ruling if the event that caused the death is an accident or if anyone was culpable/responsible for the death of the insured person

30 Mar 2021, 11:03Client care team thank you for getting back to and thank to this platform,at least i got a quick response.
I have furnished the lady with the detectives contact details,i have also forwarded the Accident report as part of the evidence hoping it will assist with your investigation. There's a lot I'm happy with that went on with that policy.
My partner died in February but i was paying his premium even after his death,i was promised a refund of the premiums but that also didn't happened
