45 days to pay back money
I ended my policy with Metropolitan in September 2020, they continued deducting the monthly payments???? I was then refunded R4000 that the they owed me. Now for December 2020 and Jan 2020 they deducted R2000 grrrrrrrr Then after I questioned them about the deduction I received an email that they will take 45days to refund, absolutely unacceptable I did reply to the email and received a non de-script with no answer, their call center is also impossible.

We regret to learn of the difficulties encountered regarding your refund.
Please be advised that we have an agreement with all banks (referred to as the bankserv rule) whereby a bank may notify us up to 6 weeks (45 days) after a deduction was scheduled from the client's bank account, that the funds have been returned as unpaid.
We can only refund premiums received in these 45 days if we have proof of the successful debit and 10 days' transactions thereafter, proving the payment was not reversed.
One of our Client Care Assessors will be in contact as soon as possible in order to see if there is any way we can assist you.
