Refund drama

Good day,

I have been experiencing difficulty getting a refund of money owed to me by Metromovers Cape Town for the past month.

I had initially booked their services for relocation from Pretoria to Cape Town in December 2014. I had paid in full their fees of R3500 as requested. In early January of the new year I had cancelled my reservation and was assured a full refund. It is has escalated to this point of frustration as I have not yet received anything from them except false promises. I have a emails that can prove that they had assured the refund, however I am yet to see the money.

I am at breaking point and require assistance in handling this issue the proper manner.

Sincerely,

Hello rishipema,

Dr Pema is quite correct. He did cancel his removal from Pretoria to Cape Town with us on 5th January 2015. On the 6th January we wrote to Dr Pema confirming that we would refund his payment and requested his banking details as we did not have same on file. We did not receive a reply.

There were subsequent discussions with Dr Pema which were poorly handled by us as we did not follow-up to ensure that we received the banking information for Dr Pema until mid February.

The refund was processed and has been paid to Dr Pema in full. We have a cancellation fee in our contract but as a gesture of goodwill we have not charged this cancellation fee. Dr Pema has acknowledged receipt of his refund. We have also written to Dr Pema and tendered a formal apology for the tardy manner in which we dealt with his refund.

Dr Pema has generously acknowledged that the matter has been satisfactorily resolved.
