08 Oct 2015, 09:36Hello foonboek,
We quoted client R 2 700 for move to Dassenberg (near Atlantis) on inventory supp****. Volume was 10 cubic meters. Destination was changed to Parklands. Quote reduced to R 1 400. On day of move actual volume moved was 3 times volume quoted . Our 20 cubic metre truck had to do 2 trips. Instead of 2 hour move the move took entire day. Client advised that couch damaged during loading process. Crew adamant that when lifting couch in presence of client plastic leg was loose and fell off. We spoke to client after move on 3 different ocasions . Client was vague about extra volume and said she could not recall what she had listed. Client was advised in writing on 12 August that quotation was based on list supp**** and that there was no insurance arranged. No other damage reported to us . The delivery note only had reference to the couch leg.
In terms of our contract with client we were entitled to raise additional charge. we did not do so.
We totally disagree that we we did not communicate with her it simply is not true. We had made our points to client and the matter was finalised.
