VAT on Vehicles

Metro Truck Sales in Pietermaritzburg advertise prices for secondhand commercial vehicles on Gumtree and afterwards invoice more, claiming their prices do not include VAT because they are commercial dealers. If you would add VAT to their price, it would be 12% more than that of a new commercial vehicle. If you confront them they offer to drop the total by 7.5% and even later to include VAT in the advertised price.
