Metroplitan Police cover-up?

If you are assaulted in the UK make sure you understand the law, because the police don't. They let off the attacker ( with an adult caution) who was in possession of a knife and assaulted my wife and myself. I have had 3 ops on my eye. The law say that if a knife is involved and that the assaulter is suspected of mental illness ( which the police says he was) then the assaulter can not be given an adult caution. Our complaint was made to the police over 5 years ago and we are still waiting for the result of their internal enquiry!
