DURBAN METRO POLICE NON EXISTENT : NO OVERSIGHT BY MAYOR

People , people everywhere but not a COP in sight . It is indeed a crying that it has come down to this . There is this big hue and cry of police clamping down on errant motorists and drunk drivers and in the main maintaining law and order. ALAS it's not to be . You can only do that if you have a plan of action , willing and able , and the expertise and competence . It is glaring and NOTICEABLE that the DURBAN METRO POLICE are nowhere to be found in the greater ETHEKWINI area . Its time for answers . The METRO chief needs to inform the public of the following 1 How many men and women he has deployed over this festive period. 2 How many vehicles he has used in this exercise . 3 Where are these personnel deployed. 4 what tools has he equipped them to carry out their duties.

The Durban Metro Police is nowhere to be found . Visible policing is non existent . Having a METRO truck parked off at BLUE Lagoon is not visible POLICING. In the Durban CBD , police presence is non existent where taxis and other motorists are running AMOK . METRO Police are absent of FREEWAY . Its as though they on strike. The Police chief needs to answer to all of this . NO OVERSIGHT WHATSOEVER. THE Mayor need to get involved . He should have cracked the whip long ago . When you see the mayor on the beachfront taking a stroll chatting to revellers u need the question whether he understands his mandate . The time for talk is over . BE ACCOUNTABLE PLEASE .
