Disappointing Service

<p>1st week of Nov I was driving from Jbg CBD, a biker came from behind and deliberatety hit my view mirror with his hand and it broke completely. Glad the road was very congested that the Biker could not escape until I saw a Metro Quantum. The Metro guy went after him and stopped him. The bike did not have a reg number, the biker did not have licence or ID with him. We then went to the nearest Police Station but to my suprise the Metro hurried inside the station and came with an affidavit saying the Biker is aggreing to pay. I did not agree to having this issue dealt outside the police station and having S1 write an affidavit while we have no proof to his identity, phone number or resedential addres but the Metro insisted that is the way and that he has a write to release the biker. The metro started accusing me that he helped chasing after the guy but now I am showing that I dont trust him. He for sure released the biker and I asked him the affidavit is not even endorced but the biker is gone, he then put his details and signed the affidavit and asked me to follow up with him the next day. The next day he said he is waiting to hear from the biker about the payment. After two days he changed to say he can not find the biker, the details on the affidavit were wrong and cannot be traced. That was very dissappointing to me. Thats how crime is growing. Cant this cop be charged, is he surelly clean and proffesional in the way he handled this case? SAPS said i can not open a case aymore since its more than 24 hours. Your advice will be greatly appreciated. Thank you.</p>
