Death stalks our lawless taxis and not a COP in sight

<p>This is directed directly at Wayne Minnaar and his non-existing Traffic Police. We all wonder why death tolls are on the increase on our roads. Well, I know now why!!!!! because there are no traffic Cops on the roads doing visible policing in our town and suburbs. This morning I drove from Wendywood to Randburg when This taxi drove across a busy intersection (5 Lanes) over a red light and to crown it he was loaded with passengers. this same taxi then continued on his way and I followed him. The very next intersection again he drove over the intersection against red traffic lights. After turning into Republic road at the first traffic lights he did the same thing again almost causing an accident. To hell with that he picked up another passenger. and went on his way. I then had my witness take a photo of the taxi and the driver. At Republic road and Jan Smuts ave he wanted to know why I had taken his picture. I told him that I'm going to report him because of his total lack of respect for other road users, the total disregard for his passenge's safety and that he had disregarded to road traffic rules. In short he became aggressive and could not give a ****. He then jumped those traffic lights as well.</p> <p> </p> <p>Guess what not ONE TRAFFIC COP IN SIGHT!!!!</p> <p>I COMMUTE TO WORK EVERYDAY ALONG Jan SMUTS AVE AND I CAN NOT BELIEVE THE TOTAL DISREGARD THE TAXI DRIVERS HAVE FOR THEIR PASSENGER'S SAFETY, RULES OF THE ROAD AND THE RECKLESSNESS OF THESE DRIVERS ON OUR ROADS.</p> <p> </p> <p>The only reason that I can see is that Wayne Minaar and his non-existant traffic enforcement has led to this situation from getting out of hand. You can't even drive in Johannesburg nowdays.</p> <p>Because you can't do your work, you Mr. Minaar should be ********ly charged for letting this get out of control. don't use marked vehicles to catch these reckless taxi drivers. Take away drivers licences and confiscate taxis and should they complain remove a thousand taxis from the roads. Should they cause civil unrest take another five thousand of them from the roads until they learn to obey the rules of the road.</p> <p>I always look forward to the days they go on strike because the traffic moves along and it actually becomes a pleasure to drive to work and back</p> <p> </p> <p> </p>
