NEVER REUPHOLSTER FURNITURE WITH METRO HOME - Complete and utter gross incompetence.

SHOCKING service and useless reupholstery workmanship, dishonesty, repeat errors, unprofessionalism and poor complaint resolution process. Complete and utter gross incompetence. After choosing Metro to reupholster our couch and ottomans, we have severe regret. Not once, not twice, but 3 times reverting on the finished product has had the Manager/ Owner eventually call our complaints "frivolous"! They covered the couch with our R750pm material - but they did it inside out! The 2nd time they redid it - it was inside out again! The third time collected, the furniture was filthy. The "finished" product is so poorly completed that it is now rock-hard and barely a shadow of its former glorious comfortable self. The complaint resolution from the so-called leadership has been on the following veins: "Don't worry, the cushions seats will soften over time", "Your complaints are frivolous" and so forth. Furthermore, they refused to refund for excess material cut, and then used this excess material to their heart's content to fix all of their mistakes! THE ABSOLUTE CHEEK! Spending R25,000 for the material and reupholstery and not getting a perfectly finished product is hardly deemed frivolous. We simply expect a certain standard and before choosing their services, we were assured of their professionalism and capability to complete the task at hand. Their service ethic is non-existent and the run-around and refusal to engage with us and resolve our issues in a friendly manner is RIDICULOUS in this day and age of consumerism. Shame on us for paying 100% upfront - don't make the same mistake we did!! AVOID THESE PEOPLE AT ALL COSTS and go elsewhere to save yourself the time, money, effort and sanity.
