Broken trust

I bought fairly expensive scissors from Metro Home Center Menlyn. The packaging read "Tailor Scissors" and the first of the three supposed advantages mentioned was "Sharp". At home the scissors was not even sharp enough to cut the soft Polyester scarf material that I was working with. On returning the scissors to the store it was explained that their policy is that they do not accept returned scissors. The reason that was given for this policy was that their clients buy scissors, take them home, "misuse" them for a day ... and then return them to the store.

I bought this scissors in good faith according to: 1) ... what this specific shop specialize in. This is a Haberdashery department of a fabric shop. 2) ... the price tag on the product. This product was not cheap and a certain quality is expected. 3) ... and the labeling. ("Tailor Scissors"; "Sharp")

I had a certain realistic expectancy for this product. I was very surprised about how this was handled.

All I know is that I do not trust them anymore and they made it very clear that they do not trust their client.
